Joyful Beginnings Preschool is a ministry of
Calvary Chapel Fellowship Wenatchee Valley
Our Purpose and Philosophy is to:
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6
Joyful Beginnings Preschool believes God has created every child unique and special. God has gifted every child with distinct skills and abilities which He desires for them to grow and develop. We are eager to help our students discover and develop the gifts God has given uniquely to them.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4
The greatest prayer and desire for Christian parents is to see their children walk in the word of truth, and we believe our Heavenly Father wishes the same thing for us. That is why we will be using the word of God to learn and explore the world around us and the God who created it

Meesook’s love for young children started 22 years ago when her pastor asked her to teach a Sunday school classroom in a small farm town church in South Korea. Ever since then, God has opened more doors for her to serve and work with children. After she graduated from Hansarang Mission Bible College, she served at the Love-and-Care children’s ministry in India and worked at a preschool in Israel where she met her husband who brought her back to the states.
Meesook homeschooled her children for three years, and while teaching them, God rekindled the love for young children in her heart. Because of her love for children and her desire to work with them, she enrolled at Wenatchee Valley College and graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is very excited for this opportunity to work with children.
April was exposed to teaching and the school environment at a young age. Her mom worked as a parapro and was able to take April to work with her. April fell in love with learning and decided at a young age that she wanted to become a teacher. After graduating from Central Washington University with a degree in Elementary Education, April made her dream come true when she began teaching 4th graders. She loved teaching this age, but when she started her own family, her interest turned to younger children. She sees the delight in her children’s eyes when they discover new places and things, and she loves using teachable moments throughout the day to explore the world we live in. “God has given me a love of learning and a passion for teaching, and I am blessed to do what I love and what I believe God created me to do.”
